Merchant is Stabbed—90 Iraqi Recruits Leave for Palestine
BEIRUT, Lebanon, Jan. 8 (UP)—A Jewish merchant was stabbed to death by three unidentified assailants today only an hour after the police had withdrawn special patrols because of the calm atmosphere.
The patrols had been sent to the Jewish shop area following the seizure yesterday of munitions from the garden of a Beirut synagogue.
